How much does a Bolt fleet partner earn in Poland? There is no single answer: it depends on fleet size, city, platform and how you split income with drivers. Below are estimates for fleets of 5, 10 and 20 cars, the cost structure and an honest view of what to expect.

Important: all amounts are estimates. They depend on city, season, platform, driver settlement model and your own business terms. Treat them as a starting point for your own calculations, not a guarantee of income.

How a fleet partner earns

A fleet partner owns or leases cars and makes them available to drivers working on Bolt, Uber and FreeNow. The basic model:

  1. The driver completes rides and generates turnover.
  2. The platform deducts its commission, usually 20 to 25%.
  3. The partner and driver split the income, most often as a percentage (for example 60/40 or 50/50 in the driver’s favour) or through a fixed car rental.

Under a commission model the partner typically receives 35 to 50% of the driver’s net turnover. Under a rental model the driver pays a fixed fee, for example 1,800 to 2,500 PLN a month.

Calculations for different fleet sizes

The figures assume a commission model (partner takes 40% of turnover after platform commission), Bolt, in a mid-sized city. Average gross monthly turnover per car is 12,000 to 15,000 PLN; we use 13,000 PLN. After the platform commission (around 22%) about 10,140 PLN remains, and the partner’s 40% share is roughly 4,056 PLN per car.

Fleet of 5 cars

  • Partner income: about 20,280 PLN a month.
  • Estimated costs: about 15,000 to 17,000 PLN.
  • Net profit: about 3,000 to 5,000 PLN a month.

Fleet of 10 cars

  • Partner income: about 40,560 PLN a month.
  • Estimated costs: about 30,000 to 35,000 PLN.
  • Net profit: about 5,500 to 10,500 PLN a month.

Fleet of 20 cars

  • Partner income: about 81,120 PLN a month.
  • Estimated costs: about 60,000 to 70,000 PLN.
  • Net profit: about 11,000 to 21,000 PLN a month.

As the fleet grows, fixed costs spread over more cars and scale starts working in your favour.

A detailed example for 10 cars

Total variable costs-10,600

That is about 5.3% of gross turnover. In practice the result can swing by roughly 30% either way depending on season, city and management quality.

Fixed costs

  • Leasing or renting cars: roughly 1,200 to 1,800 PLN a month for a car suitable for taxi work.
  • OC and AC insurance: about 400 to 700 PLN per car per month.
  • Licence: by our estimate 500 to 1,500 PLN one-off plus recurring fees. See the taxi licence guide for details.
  • Accounting: around 600 to 1,200 PLN a month for a 10-car company.

Variable costs: where surprises hide

  • Fuel or energy: 500 to 800 PLN per car per month for hybrids; electric cars can reduce this line.
  • Servicing and repairs: budget 200 to 400 PLN per car per month. Taxi cars wear out noticeably faster than private ones.
  • Driver turnover: every departure means idle time, recruitment and onboarding.
  • Accident repairs: one serious incident can cost several thousand PLN and take a car off the road for weeks.

Realistic net margins

  • Small fleet (3 to 5 cars): around 3 to 7% of gross turnover.
  • Medium fleet (8 to 15 cars): around 5 to 10%.
  • Large fleet (20+ cars): around 8 to 15%.

The larger the fleet, the higher the percentage margin. Margins above 12 to 15% are typically reached by partners with low driver turnover, who work on several platforms and use automation tools.

What influences earnings

  • City. Warsaw has higher turnover per car but fiercer competition; smaller cities have lower turnover.
  • Seasonality. Strong months are October to December; weak ones are January and February and the summer, except in tourist cities.
  • Multiple platforms. Working on Bolt, Uber and FreeNow together generally brings noticeably higher turnover than a single app.

How to improve profitability

  1. Automate management. Settlements, cost tracking and reporting eat many hours a week for owners of 10+ cars.
  2. Reduce driver turnover. Fair, transparent settlements, reliable cars and loyalty bonuses help retention.
  3. Track costs per car. Link fuel and service invoices to vehicles, for example via KSeF, as described in KSeF for taxi fleets in Poland.

FAQ

How many cars do I need for the business to make sense?

Profit is possible with 3 to 5 cars, but it is small and sensitive to mistakes. The return becomes more noticeable from around 10 cars.

Is a percentage or a rental model better?

A percentage model is flexible and seen as fair by drivers; rental is simpler to calculate. Choose according to your strategy.

Can I count on these numbers?

No. They are estimates and depend heavily on city, season and how well the fleet is managed.
